With a solid career of more than 15 years, she has combined clinical experience with team leadership and healthcare management, standing out as deputy medical director at HM Nou Delfos and head of emergencies at the Vic Hospital Consortium. She has also played an academic role as a lecturer and has deepened her training with master’s degrees in primary care and healthcare service management. Her doctorate at Rovira i Virgili University reflects her commitment to innovation and excellence in health. Her ability to lead teams and manage business projects is essential for the development of CAF.

Marta Cañis Parera

Marta Cañis Parera is a physician and head of the CAF in Vendrell. With a consolidated career as medical director at the El Colomer Nursing Home and as an attending physician in the emergency department at Hospital del Vendrell, she combines clinical experience with a passion for research. Her dedication has led her to specialise in the characterisation of lumbar fibrofatty tissue and its relation to lumbar fasciopathy, an area she has deepened through her doctorate at Rovira i Virgili University. With continuous training and an innovative vision, she works to integrate research and clinical practice with the aim of improving patient well-being and advancing chronic pain care.

Raúl Mirón
Therapist Sabadell

Raúl Mirón Castillo is a therapy technician specialised in fasciopathy using the PMS technique. With training in sports physiotherapy and experience in fields such as musculoskeletal physiotherapy, craniofacial therapy, and neuromodulation, he has worked in the prevention and recovery of sports injuries, as well as in the personalised treatment of patients. His career includes collaborations with sports teams such as CF Matadepera and Campus Xavi, as well as services in private physiotherapy centres. At CAF, he combines his clinical knowledge with the PMS technique to offer innovative solutions focused on the integral well-being of patients, standing out for his commitment to quality and good clinical practice.

Anna Cortés

Ana Cortés is a nurse with more than fourteen years of experience in hospital, primary, and community care. She has worked in palliative care, complex chronic patients, and home care, consolidating her clinical and coordination skills to provide comprehensive and personalized care.

She is currently a therapist at CAF Sabadell, where she has enthusiastically joined the project and the PMS® Technique. With a holistic view of the patient and a strong vocation for the humanization of care, she brings both experience and passion to advance in the management of chronic pain.

 

Carolina Casamitjana
Therapist

Carolina is a nurse with 19 years of experience across various care settings, including long-term care, ATDOM, home hospitalization, and emergency services. She is specialized in chronic care and palliative care, and has always worked with a person-centred approach, which has made her a reference in patient safety and quality of care.

She is currently part of the CAF team, where she has trained in the SMP Technique. True to her vocation for caring and helping others, she enjoys accompanying patients, seeing their progress, and witnessing how the SMP Technique can relieve pain without medication and with minimal discomfort. She is known for her close and committed approach and feels fortunate to dedicate herself each day to such a human and meaningful profession.

Vanessa Castejón Carretero

Vanessa Castejón Carretero is a nurse with more than twenty-seven years of experience, mainly in the Emergency Department of Hospital del Vendrell. Specialized in comprehensive care for critical patients and trauma procedures, she brings solid expertise in wound care, immobilizations, and acute patient support. She has trained in the PMS Techniqueand, at CAF Centers, combines this expertise with great dedication and humanity in patient care, supporting each person with professionalism and empathy throughout the therapeutic process.

Anna Panés is a nurse with a solid background in hospital care and emergency services, areas in which she has accumulated more than fifteen years of experience. Her training includes a Master’s degree in Critical Patient Management and Emergencies, as well as several postgraduate programs and specialized courses in advanced care and complex situations.
 
She is currently part of the team at CAF del Vendrell, where she has been trained in the SMP® Technique. With great passion for the project, she combines her clinical experience with a close and committed approach, aiming to support people living with chronic pain and to contribute to the development of an innovative approach in fasciopathy.

 

Carles Greoles Royo
Research Unit

Carles Greoles Royo is a physician and head of the Emergency Department at Hospital del Vendrell, where he leads healthcare in critical situations with experience dating back to 2006. His career includes advanced training in hospital management and emergency medicine, combined with a long career as an emergency doctor at SEM. He is currently affiliated with CAF as a member of the Research Unit, where he leads preliminary studies that will serve as the basis for the development of future clinical trials. These investigations aim to advance dissemination and knowledge about fasciopathy. Carles is committed to scientific rigor and best practices in medical research.

Susana Serrano Suárez

Susana Serrano Suárez has been a nurse since 1998 and Emergency Care Manager Nurse at the Hospital del Vendrell since 2008, where she leads the coordination and management of care in this service. With several postgraduate degrees and a Master’s in Health Sciences Nursing, she is responsible for patient safety projects, working to ensure their safety and well-being. Her rigorous approach to continuous improvement contributes to the development of practices based on scientific evidence. Additionally, she promotes ongoing training for healthcare staff and actively participates in research, presenting scientific work at emergency and hospital management conferences. She is currently part of the CAF research unit, where she collaborates on studies that contribute to the development of scientific knowledge on fasciopathy, with a strong commitment to scientific rigor and innovation in healthcare.
